its also now in stock at canon refurb for 1199
http://shop.usa.canon.com …-mark-ii-body-refurbished (external link)
you get 1 year warranty with it.

I saw that, thanks. I was kind of holding out for a new one because most of my gear ive bought used, but that is a good deal and Canon refurb is top notch. A new one qualifies for 1 year free drops and spills but of course more cash to purchase. Hmm, going in circles aren't I?

Let's see if I can get these in the right thread instead of the 7D II focus thread. ;)

A couple of photos from the softball game. I uploaded the big files to the server here because I was in a hurry. The first one looks a little crunchy. Don't know if that is from the server here downsizing it.

Good job on the Kingfishers. I've never been able to get one in flight intentionally, and even on a branch they are not real common.

They are chicks in the Eagles nest John.

Thanks Jeff, I think I may get the camera and then get the kayak next month. I'm following some GHO babies right now and kinda would like the new camera for them. Once they're fledged, my Tammy needs to go in to be fixed. By that time the refuge should be in full swing.

not the best pic. Weather is terrible and getting dark and total cloud coverage. These are just quick shots since I saw a bunch of activity at the feeder.
ISO5000
The downside of this bird feeder. With the wire mesh it screws up my AF almost all the time. Its really hard to lock birds on this feeder.

fantastic

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.
