But after the cool factor wore off, I would be happy shooting with either camera. http://www.flickr.com/photos/pyrospawn/

I personally do like EVF, the ability to see what your final image would be like before you pressed the shutter button is very helpful. Altho, timing on sport scene or BIF is harder due to some lag delay. Pairing large lenses with the a7ii seems a bit unbalance for me, which I rather use those larger lenses on my 6D for the form factor.

I ended up getting a Meike grip and this has completely solved everything and I couldn't be happier. I also come from a Canon background and honestly couldn't imagine coming back. You've got the EVF (with many advantages and some disadvantages), AF, Eye AF, IBIS on every lens, and ability to not only adapt canon lenses, but to use them with high accuracy AF as well as still being able to use the sony collection of lenses. I do agree with your last post saying that it took away from the compactness of the Sony but that's not the reason why I bought it. Of course, having it be lighter/smaller than my DSLR was an awesome feature but for me that was never the MAIN feature. I honestly don't know how someone can use a large lens on an A7 with no grip and have it be comfortable. It's very awkward feeling. Unlike DSLR L brackets, the A7x version adds to the grip. I dont see any problem in size of the L bracket, either way when I shoot DSLR or not, I'de use an L bracket.
