Small wireless portable LED light is probably my favorite way to alter existing light right now. Before small battery-powered LED lights became available, I used bounce flash and also flash diffusers, but you can only see the result on the LCD screen after you'd taken the shot, and then you adjust the angle/strength according to the result. It's a bit like shooting half-blind. With constant lighting, WYSIWYG, so it's much more intuitive. Portable LED lights won't be as powerful as a flash, so it's not good for fast action, but for what shoot, it works perfectly. I usually just put the light on whatever surface nearby and angle it so it bounces off the ceiling/wall for a more natural/softer look. Or, I just hand-hold it and then shoot the camera one-handed. That's what I used for this shot. I had just gotten the LED light and was testing it before bed.

This is the best "vintage film" look that I have seen. The grain is very realistic. My I ask what vintage simulation you used here?

Pretty easy to see why your little girl is so cute.

Kind of runs in the family.
