After taking a photo of the riverbank in front of my house I thought it was missing something. Later while having it loaded into photoshop I came across a photo of my mom and her two sisters circa 1940's. Not my best photoshop job but the families of the other two two girls love it so I guess that's what counts.

I've been contemplating a walkaround type zoom and I was looking at this lens as a less expensive alternative to the 24-70, however I read that it has seems to have a tendency for the AF motor to fail. Happy to see you've got a decent copy. I hope it holds up for you, it's getting you great shots.

There are copies of the 28-70 f2.8 that have had a issue with the af-motor failing so I bought a refurbished by Nikon one with a 1 year warranty. Going on 3 years now and still going strong.
