Results:
Thank you for the variety of the images. Running a challenge is my least favorite thing on POTN. But, here it goes.

Trumper: Lobster pots, ropes and knots – They have caught tons of lobster in the life time. It reminds me of fishing reality TV shows.

JimAskew: Rope and Pulley – Interesting elements in the picture, but I don’t see how they relate to each other.

Teekay: Freedom – For some reason, the picture reminds me of horror movies.

Maureen Souza: Tangled Chain – Well, I see tangled chain.

M_Six: Riverboat – I have never been on one, but I like the elements in the picture.

Spoco57: The Ol' Ball and.... Big Chain – The size of that chain is something else. I wonder how much each link weighs. It must be a huge ship.

Raven: Local Fishing Fleet – I can smell the harbor. I love harbors. And, I see chains, cables, and ropes, all in one shot.

The winners are:
First: Raven (Local Fishing Fleet)
Second: Trumper (Lobster pots, ropes and knots)
Third: M_Six (Riverboat)

Off to you, Raven :-)

Congratulations to the winners :-). Well done by all.

I loved Scopo57's large chain! Was that a chain from a giant dragline?

Congrats to Raven, Trumper and M Six. Tough to pick a winner out of that crowd!

Thanks for the challenge and the judging, Sibil. Nicely done.

Yes, Jim, you have a great eye!!! The picture was taken in front of the Big Muskie bucket, which is all that's left of the largest dragline ever created. They made the bucket into a kind of memorial in southeastern Ohio and you can go and visit the bucket... it's stunningly huge. You can google Big Muskie to get a good idea of what it was.

Glad I wasn't choosing this week so congratulations to Sibil, as well as Raven, Trumper and M_Six - and to Spoco for showing the biggest chain by far!

Yes, Sibil, I agree my unchained antique doll looked somewhat freaky but I'm really not a weirdo. Just hoped it would be interpreted as women getting the vote or some other expression of liberation - my other efforts to photo that chain were totally boring.

Oh, I totally missed that. I hope you didn't take my comment the wrong way. That was the first impression that crossed my mind when I saw the image.
