Wasp

Today I found this Wasp getting ready to have a drink of water from the bird bath.
The lens I had on wasn't the best as it was the 18/55mm lens and I wish I had the 300mm ens with the macro on it.
But I never had it on so I had to go with what I had.
These are not backwards in coming forwards so you really have to watch what you do because they we attack.
I am not good with Bee stings so this means I have to be careful in what I do.
I'm not real sure of what type it is but I think its a Paper Wasp.

I am not real sure of what type it is as for if it was a Red Wasp It shouldn't have Yellow on it.
And this it the same for other wasps that are here.
I have sent a photo of it to a Museum so they can help me get this one right.
The only other thing I can think of it that it might be a younger one and its full colour hasn't come in yet.
