Got my new (but used) ef-s 15-85mm IS today! (two days before predicted :-) )

I will get a few traditions out of the way first. Here is the first subject I saw and shot  :-P

and of course - get a new lens - it has to be a dull overcast day. There.

No dust in the lens, came with a hood, and 3 filters for a good price, glad to have this lens back!

testing 15mm and 85mm from same spot. (uncropped)

Perhaps a main reason of getting this lens is for flowers, but really it is my multi-tasker. Forgot the heft of this lens :-P ... heavy compared to the 18-55 STM  which I am selling next

Anywho - thanks for looking.
Likely selling the 10-18mm Saturday.

Our wonderfully mild Autumn continues .... it's duck shooting season, and they seem to know :-) Plenty around in places where shooters aren't allowed. (Although they are here). Took the Canon 24 f/2.8 out last couple of nights.

It's a fantastic lens and a steal used, when the L version came out I was tempted but this lens is so good I can't justify upgrading to the L version especially at a $300 premium.

By L do you mean the 24-105L?

Sorry I mean the Canon 100mm f2.8 IS L macro lens that came out a couple years back. It's a step up from the normal 100mm f2.8 macro with offering IS and reportedly it's a bit sharper. Its also about $300 more new vs the standard 100mm macro and even if I sold mine and bought the L version used it would probably still cost around $300-350 net to upgrade.

Seriously getting more and more annoyed with my new 70D

Im still struggling with the ergonomics compared to my old 20D, even with the battery grip fitted (I know that it will feel more natural as time goes on)

WiFi is a pain to set up

But even more annoyingly, I have just discovered that my sigma EF-500 DG Super flashgun doest work with it either, now this gun has done sterling service for over 12 years on both a 300D and a 20D without as much as a hiccup

Im not a happy camper -?-?
