I really like this

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Looking for a lighter head alternative that is going to give me the same power as my rovelight and alien bee. I've heard the profoto b2 can't really fight the sun. Anyone have suggestions? My current lights are killing my assistant because of their weight.

Shot mine today.... 300 pops... from 1/2 power to full most of the time... still had some battery left. Missed 2 shots due to recycle time and me rushing. It kept up just fine for the shoot.

Hope this helps.

It is the Godox... just re-branded. What's nice is the owner is based in Dallas.. and has a good reputation for customer service. This was one of the main reasons I went with CheetahStand.com

Glad to help. :) I went from Elinchrom ..Ranger RX/AS and 600rxs to this setup. So far... no regrets. Lighting quality is consistent and the recycle times are plenty fast even at full power. I researched a number of battery operated brands/strobes and landed here. Very happy so far.

Hope this helps.

After scrolling through this thread. I'm not way more interested in trying out HSS.

Not sure if my AB800 will be able to do it so I'll have to try with my speedlights.

:) I figured he was interested .. but.... way way more... that's "next level" interested. :)

You know... he could sell off the AB800 and make the move to a Rovelight or Godox (use Cheetahstand.com) and ditch the ND filters....

good stuff.
