Thanks...but in my rush and excitement, I realized the background for the photo I found on a wallpaper website, and the person who created it states on the deviant art webpage:

"Dear visitors, the images can be saved only as background for desktop / macbook, tablet or smartphone. For any other use (online/offline projects) you must request permission."

So I took it down for now. I've sent the person a message asking for permission. I don't want to be one of those people that just rips things off from other people.

I'm worried about your c-stand and it's proximity to the baby. The considerable weight from that light/modifier is on the weak leg and not a sand bag in sight.

It seems half of my posts in this thread are safety related...

Good man.

lol thanks. I didn't think much of it while making the photo, since it was just going to be on birthday invitations, however, once I posted it to the web where all could see, then it hit me.

When I do a search, I see that wallpaper on several wallpaper websites. There's no mention of getting permission on most of them, but the DeviantArt.com website where I found it, the artist did have a little disclaimer there, so I want to make sure I play by the rules. I'm sure none of us would want any of our work stolen.

I got asked to shoot a pre-production product the night before it was schedule to ship out. Got the call at 12:30pm and was there at 7:30pm after work to shoot, lol. Had a very tight space to work in, but we got it done! Brought the table, lights and gear. Setup, shot, tear down in 1 hour. 5D + 35 IS for all of these.

Jumped back into playing with strobes again recently after shooting only natural light for a while, I love having control over the way the light falls and how much light you want from the ambient!

Pretty simple setup - wanted to control how much light was hitting her face so I gridded the octabox.

Great result from a simple setup!

Setup:

Pretty simple, black to each side, white background, 24 inch softbox above and behind. Putting it as far back as possibly kept the reflection of the softbox out of the shot. Single light only for this one, a 430EX.

Result:

Pretty minimal post work, cloning dust and some slight cleaning up of the very edges to make them pure white.
