Sublime Maui sunset. I could live there but I would miss Texas. :)

Awesome, never been to Maui but been to Oahu and would love to live there myself. Just annoying that it's one of the furthest away places I can go from where I live so not sure when I will make it back if ever

Nice shot man. I actually have a cousin that lived in Hawaii and though the scenery was pretty, she hated living there. Gave up a nice gig as a principal and is now living back in Texas. She says its a nice place to visit...terrible place to live.

What??? I spent a week backpacking in Big Bend NP and the same in Guadalupe NP and had awesome experiences. Another trip we visited Corpus Christ and the Nat. Seashore and then paddled in the Big Thicket Nat. Preserve= wonderful state and I hear it is a destination for birding too!

For those that have the 90 Macro, I noticed that it has the extra button on the side like the new GM lenses. Can you also configure this for Eye AF like the GM lenses? Trying to plan out a 85/90 ish lens. Thinking the Batis, the 90, and even a Rokinon 85. Since I'm not a huge portrait shooter, the 1.8 of a Batis or GM isn't vital and having a deeper DoF isn't a bad thing and my portraits shots are outdoors so don't necessarily need a 1.8. Also will have the 55 1.8 when I need something in super low light.

Those that have it, would you recommend the 90? I see that dxo rated it very highly for sharpness.

Vinz had the 90 and his images were crazy sharp .I'm sure he will chime in. I'm on the fence for that lens also

I find it an exceptional lens. Even if i dont shoot portraits or macro that much i cant bring myself to sell it. Its just too good.

Yes, you can configure the focus hold button on the FE 90 to Eye AF. If a max aperture of f2.8 is acceptable to you, I think it makes a fine portrait lens. In fact, the FE 90 is probably my most used lens, for both portraits and macro shots.

Here's a quick example of a portrait I shot using this lens...(Sorry, not as sexy as Vinz's portraits :-) )

And here's the path to navigate in the menu: Menu>Gear icon> page 7>Custom Key Settings>page 2>Focus Hold button>Eye AF

It is particularly excellent with lenses with aperture rings (like rokinon lenses). You cannot control aperture in-camera with that adapter, so you have to do it at the lens.
