Eddie xpfloyd lookalike More info Post edited over 7 years ago by Eddie. | May 25, 2016 02:04 | #18019 digital_AM wrote in post #18018094 My FM 100mm kit consists of the firecrest 16 ND, 3, 6, and 10 stop ND filters. My Canon 16-35 takes an 82mm filter so I use my 100x150 kit for that. That also supports lenses with 77mm filter thread which works with my Canon 70-200. So this seven5 kit would really only work on the Loxia and lenses with 72mm or smaller. The Batis 18 would not work with it but if Loxia releases a 16 then it would. I can step up 52mm to 77mm and try to use the 100x150 kit but I think it will cause vignetting and won't allow for a polarizer. The Loxia 21 has really thrown a wrench in the system due to it's small filter size. why don't you just get a Lee adaptor ring for the loxia and use the 100mm kit? Don't see the point of buying the 75 if you already have the 100? Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

May 25, 2016 09:14 | #18021 digital_AM wrote in post #18018069 My mouse is hovering over my B&H cart with a $600 item. It's the Lee Seven5 deluxe filter kit for mirrorless systems (ie smaller lenses). It includes 3 grad ND filters, the Big Stopper, and a circular polarizer along with the holder. It would work well with my Loxia lens but it's just a hard pill to swallow since I have that much invested in my Format-Hitech filters for the bigger lenses (larger than 72mm). I guess I should just pull the trigger and get it over with. ![]() Based on my recent trip and trying to shoot some long exposures of water, I learned that the SR app can't get me all the results I need so that's why I'm considering getting this kit. I had the Seven5 system before and really liked it. Just ended up selling it since I rarely used it and didn't want to have $400+ invested in filters that were rarely used. Current Gear: Sony RX1RII

May 25, 2016 12:47 | #18023 Good idea Eddie. I will test it with my step up ring first. The prices from the Filter Dude are fantastic. xpfloyd wrote in post #18018300 why don't you just get a Lee adaptor ring for the loxia and use the 100mm kit? MedicineMan4040 The Magic Johnson of Cameras More info | May 25, 2016 13:20 | #18025 My favorite landscape I shot in Iceland, it was in the Westfiords. Most who do the 'ring road' skip the Westfiords. After driving in to Latreberg and having nightmares that night (seriously) about the next days drive (no guard rail, 400 foot straight drops, road collapsing on the edge, etc.) I can see why some skip it, it's just a very remote area but an area where we felt like we were seeing the true Iceland and NO tour buses and really few people. We also found a natural hot tub just meters off the ocean. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/H6kwwqflickr

I do wish it was faster though but the coverage area is tremendous. well with it being so wide, you can follow the 1/2FL rule and get fairly good amount of light, even if 5.6. I regularly shoot my 12mm indoors, just slam the shutter speed down to 1/2". You're not stopping action obviously, however the effect is still great IMO. Downside is that tested on the A7s, hard to have an opinion. No front filter on this one either, the CV 12mm should be able to take filters, current one does. I have a few HTPC's in my home, dating back 7-10 years now. They're good for TV viewing and youtube, but editing can become a disaster real quick due to input lag. It's just 10-20 ms more than a good monitor, but it was driving me insane when I tried it. Still using my HTPC's after so many years, it's been really good to me. The company claims that's because three of the ports are compatible with HDCP 2.2, which doesn't allow 4:4:4 signals. This isn't a big deal to us since, once again, the only common 4:4:4 sources come from PCs.
