Thanks! The whole thing was very impromptu though. I was dissatisfied with a choice my son made on Mother's Day(he didn't want to drive with a tree in the back of the truck). My daughter thought it wise to capitalize on the situation by pranking my wife into thinking we got her another dog! Multiple hints were dropped to my wife along with my growing agitation with the "gift" while we went back to get a tree. My son ran to our friend's house to get "Jake" and put him in the backyard moments before we got back. My little corgi was at the back door growling at the offender and our mastif mutt was running laps around the couch because he wanted to go play. The curtains were covering the Windows. Once Jake heard us in the house he went nuts pawing at the back door. My wife starts to freak out and my son yells "I got you a dog!" as I slide the door open and the dogs start chasing each other all over. My wife is struggling to keep her composure so she can appear to appreciate the gift. It was worth it just to see her try to shake it off, lol! Then she finally is able to really see the dog and says, "oh thank God, it's Jake! You guys are jerks!" My son really got her blueberry bushes! Now you know why there were eye buggers! Never a dull moment at my house.

Good composition and good use of light, but most importantly, you conveyed emotion of a little girl and her dog from your photograph. I think you did nail it.
