Looking forward to seeing a bunch of results from Megacon, Momocon, Animazement, and Space City Comic Con this weekend. Here's my favorite shot from Megacon: My wife's debut of her new Lady Loki, from the Marvel universe. She found a vintage green sequin dress with a plunging neckline, and we just had to do something fantastic with it. The diadem/horns were made by me, out of Sintra, Apoxie Sculpt, and two cheap plastic lightsabers. Can't decide whether to embellish or bedazzle it any more. The cape was made by her. The scalemail collar/necklace is made by me from scales and rings by RingLord (my first time making anything out of scale). Location is the convention area at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. Lighting is a single Speedlight in a 42" brolly box. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nathan, these of your wife are really nice. She looks great, the dress looks great, the lighting is awesome. How did you light these? Would you like to buy a vowel?

Would you like to buy a vowel?

Jun 01, 2016 15:08 | #252 Two more from Megacon, our friend Candy as Batgirl. ![]() ![]() ![]() This one would probably work really well for a drop-in background, but I'm not really good at that sort of compositing. It took a good ten or twelve tries to get this right - the cape, hair, pose, and face all lined up. We have a few funny outtakes, of course.IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/HxrSjq ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.avidchick.com
