Told my daughter to stand on front porch and this is what I got. I can already tell I am going to love this lens/camera combo. I recently purchased a genuine Canon 6D grip from a member here and a new genuine Canon battery and I couldn't be happier. Canon EOS R|Canon RF 24-105L|Canon 6D griped|Canon 7D II griped| Canon 7D griped| and a bunch of Canon L lenses

I have Bower and Meike grips on T3i, 70D and 6D and have had no problems. SterlingTek and Wasabi batteries have also been good. Cannot tell difference between them and Canon. They report through camera just like Canon. Never a problem. Gripped 6D, gripped 6D2, gripped 70D, 80D, 24-105 F4L, 50mm 1.8 STM, 55-250mm, 18-135mm, 60mm EF-S macro, 70-200 F4L IS, 400mm F5.6L, 18-55mm IS STM, Canon 85mm 1.8, Sigma 150-600mm C., Sigma 100-400mm C, Canon 70-300 IS USM, Samyang 8mm 3.5 fisheye, Sunpak DF3600U Flash (2)

None of them fit properly. Some appeared to fit, OK. Then when I was using them in portrait orientation, they would lose contact, and my camera would shut off - in the middle of a shoot. The last time it happened was with the relatively small, light EF 17-40 mounted. Save yourself some grief, just spring for the Canon grip. I've been using Wasabi LP-E6 batteries without issue, in 60D, 70D (both now sold), and 6D. I had Canon grips on all three of them. Never a problem.
