Ideally the 6300 would have a lens at effective focal length of 35mm for me. The Batis 25 is my closest option with the lenses I own. Failing that I would have to purchase and the touit 32 is a great price now (although closer to 50 effective). That was my thought process. It's all probably GAS though but the more I read on the 6300 the more impressed I am

Eddie, you can't go wrong with the a6300. If I didn't have an a6000 I would have one. I really like my a6000 for a lightweight and very capable body. It pairs well with my a7RII. I've read the AF system are much better on the a6300.

I've heard that the K135/2.8 and 58/1.2 are both particularly special. I'm definitely looking into getting more Minolta glass.

The Batis 25 is the perfect lens for an aps-c/FF kit. It's roughly a 35mm FOV, so it will make a great environmental portrait lens on the a6300, and a great landscape lens on the a7rII.

The a6300 is on my short-list too....need a faster camera for the kids sports activities.

Thanks. It took me a moment to realize that the aperture ring overrides the dial on the camera that normally does that with my other lenses.

There's something sexy about the 85GM:

Don't discredit the Sony/zeiss 24 f/1.8. Great lens, Sonnar design, lightning fast AF, quiet AF motor (Touit has a loud DC motor). Coming down in price on the used market too. I had one on my NEX-6 way back when and it stayed glued on the camera and gave me 8,000+ quality shots from it.

I had been looking at the zeiss 24 but ir seemed quite long and also expensive. That's when I started considering the 32 or using a lens I already had

Kinda OT, but a friend of mine came by yesterda with his new Pentax K-1 system. I'll be honest I'm one of the biggest fans of mirrorless and have had a go with most of the systems out there (Sony, Fuji, Canon M, etc) but it was an impressive piece of kit. Class leading WR, funky but useful tilt screen, and buttons/dials galore. GPS, dual cards, and battery that lasts 1,500+ shots. Especially since he told me he bought the camera along with the 24-70 f/2.8 for $3,100. Sure it's big, it's heavy, etc. But if I were to go back to a DSLR, I'd take a long hard look at this over a Canon/Nikon setup if I wasn't invested in one of those. Showed me some of the pictures he took using the pixel shift technology and if that kind of tech is ever brought to Sony, wow.

This wasn't taken using Sony gear but is a photograph of Sony gear, specifically, my a7rII + 85mm f1.4 GM. Hope no one minds.
