Sony A6000 Lounge

sounds good! i would love to hear how the 16-50 performs, I was thinking of getting that one for my street shooting / travel due to it's small size.
what cam have you come from?

5dmII to x-e1 to g7x to a6000

I really just need to keep a camera.
I certainly miss my 5d but don't miss the size and not looking like I am on safari taking casual photos lol

yeah i felt portraits with 1D III and Sigma 50-500 was a bit intimidating. Even with my 50 1.8 it was a bit beefy.

Definitely took some time navigating through the menu system to adjust settings. Actually had to crack open a manual

What are you using for a manual? I bought mine a couple weeks ago and all it had was a little booklet, which was of little help. There were also instructions to download a manual from Sony's site, but all I could find on there was the same booklet I already had... Maybe I was looking in the wrong place.

Just got A6000 for Christmas. I have been away from shooting anything due to such bad eyesight but I love the view screen and I can use the view finder. I can't with my canon gear. I need a zoom lens for it and a macro. I have a question will any adapter ring work with my macro and allow for autofocus? It is a tamron built for Canon. So far I am loving this little powerhouse.

I've heard good things about the metabones adapters with canon lenses being quite good but i havent used them myself. I believe they are quite expensive.

Excellent. I'm glad you found a camera that works for you. I sold my Oly gear because it didn't work in my hands.

Hello there. Also migrated from Canon. From a Canon 400D to a 40D to now a6000.

I find Gary Friedman's manual to be very helpful. From FriedmanArchives.
I keep going back to it because the cam has a lot of menu items and because my last cam, now my other cam, is quite old.

any feedback on the lens?
