Here is my loaded roller bag for the moment. I know I'll be doing a lot of adjusting over time until I'm satisfied with the layout. I wanted to have both cameras stored with a lens already mounted but haven't decided which 'default' lens to use for each. That might impact how the divider's are spaced.

I haven't included my Canon 5D3, the EF 17-40 or 24-70 lenses as I plan on selling them. The one lens not shown yet is my Canon 85 f1.8. I'm undecided whether to sell it or not but as you can see, I have plenty of room for it in my new roller bag. I do have a few more bits and pieces to add but am in no real rush at the moment.

I'll probably print this out and put it in one of the lid pouches to remind me where everything is for awhile. ;-)a

Excuse the non Sony photos here everyone but just wanted to post something in relation to RMS Queen Mary seen in Charlies photo here.

Last year I was trying to research the history of my house (mainly what year it was built) and came across the photo below. It was taken in 1934 and shows the Queen Mary under construction at John Browns shipyard in Clydebank (my home town). In the background you can actually see my house. Its the sort of white square underneath the red arrow I have drawn on. Also in the photo is the Titan Crane which is the last remaining crane in this section of the clyde (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titan_Clydebank (external link))

Here is another shot taken in 1935 showing the the Queen Mary being fitted out. It was launched on September 26th 1934. The crane a bit clearer here.

And finally here is a shot out my gallery taken of the crane. I post shots of the crane quite a lot as its only a few mins drive away and I still havent nailed a great sunset at it.

Just thought I would post a bit of the history for any one that was interested.

Really cool how all of this played out

Really love the Sigma 20mm Art...@ f/1.4! (sharp) :)

Also, in spite of initial very negative impressions of the LR guided upright tool, I am finding it immensely helpful. It's too doggone slow, but I am processing a lot of photos for my client and I mostly need to stay inside LR to get them processed quicker, so it's still quicker than opening PS and using DXO to straighten. Nonetheless, I still prefer DXO for PS processed images.

I hate those triangles too and normally put my QD loops straight on the lugs but after ordering my peak strap I read online about someone's peak loop breaking and got paranoid :) . On reflection though the incident in question was likely due to the fact that the guys loops were badly worn and 4 years old and he kept using them

The discussion on Peak Loops has been interesting, especially the report of one wearing out after 4 years. I have been using the same Optech strap since 1984...very little wear. Started using it with a Canon AE-1 Program>A-1> Rolleiflex 2.8C>Canon 50D>5D Mark II>Sony A7RII. I have no problem with the triangle attachments, have used them for 32 years. I always figured camera designers know more about attachment points than I do. I like the way Sony has engineered the ones on the A7RII with the nylon/plastic protector.

Haha...thanks! I do think the Batis is likely the better overall landscape lens since it is filter friendly - the Sigma has a bulbous front and a built-in lens shade to protect it. Also, being an f/1.4 lens, it's pretty massive (2 lbs I think). That said, the Sigma IQ really does blow me away and it's a good deal less expensive than the Batis too.

Spent some time out in Long Beach this morning, trying out the Batis 25 and Batis 18.

Nothing that great to share here, unfortunately. The weather was crap and the location was crap. Seeing what some of you post really brings home the fact that SoCal is so drab and colorless. And dumpy. I can't recall seeing a "waterfront park" anywhere else on my travels that's as shabby as what we have here. Same goes for Downtown.

That aside, I have a technical question for you PP pros. I feel like I don't know what I'm doing when it comes to sharpening. What approach do you guys follow (and I'm sure there are as many different answers as there are people here)?

I see a lot of pics on here and on FM that look very nice and sharp. And I feel like my pics, while not necessarily bad generally seem to lack that little extra oomph and contrast.
I don't know if it's just sharpening, or contrast, saturation, etc...There's just a certain look that I see very often on here and on FM that I seem to fall short of in terms of PP.

Thoughts?

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.
