I dont usually use the 7DII for landscapes but it was the camera I took on a five hour drive to the city yesterday, this was sunrise on a long country road

Went back this morning with my super telephoto lens and tripod. Wilson's Plover and Least Tern near their nest.

St. Augustine beaches are the breeding grounds for both these wonderful birds. Just found their protected colonies. Surprises how large the habitat is. They are very actively raising their young this month. Very difficult photography IMO.

Yes having the sun behind you really makes a big difference. Many years ago the local airshow used to be at the main airport but they built a new terminal where the runway was that ran east to west was. Spectators were on the South side so it was perfect. Now they have the show at a smaller airport and the spectator area is on the North side. It is not very good. Very bland colours.

7D II and 100 f/2.8 L macro lens is a nice combo.
