I all but ordered a 2x extender earlier tonight. The only reason I didn't was the street price was just slightly more than $40.00 over the refurb price. The 2x extender is a purchase I wanted to make more for the future than for right now. I could not justify paying almost 90% for a refurb compared to what I could get a new lens for especially when I am ordering it for later. But, this new promotion changes that. When I saw I could get an additional 15% off, that put me over the edge.

Only thing I can say right now is I am lucky the 100-400 f4.5-5.6 IS Mark II is sold out. $1,495.32 is very tempting....

This. I will be buying one once I sell some stuff, but this would have been hard to resist had I seen it before they sold out.

I was awake and checked and saw the post within 2 minutes... Everything was available... you saying I should of pulled the trigger on one?

The 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II may be slow, but everything I've heard and read points to it being a superb lens and a marked improvement over the lens it replaced.

I had been lusting after the 200-400 f/4L for a while and recently saw one advertised locally for $7K used (a very good used price), but couldn't rationalize the $5K extra for a one stop improvement. I could upgrade my 1D X to the Mk II version for less and utilize the 1D X Mk II's one stop improvement with every lens.

They had the 70-200 for $1,427 and I missed it AGAIN. AGH!!!! Seriously no BS I miss this deal by MOMENTS every SINGLE time! Not. Happy.

UGH! Kinda upset I missed out on the 100-400 II. Oh well, maybe one day that eBay seller will once again have gray market copies in stock for $1699.

They never had the 70-200 II in-stock during this sale. It sold out on Saturday afternoon, about 6 hours before the sale began.

I doubt they had many of the 100-400ii in stock.
Heckuva deal for anyone that got one. It's a great lens, and yes, a marked improvement over v1.
I caught the sale about 5 minutes after it started, bought a 70-200, and less than an hour later, it was out of stock.

strange I saw it this morning I thought for sure, I left and when I came back home they were on sale and all gone. Dunno ha, I didn't get one thats for sure :/

I saw the 70-200 available, only pulled the trigger on the sure winner...

Well it wasn't on the fathers day special, but I was at the refurb store and low and behold the new 500mm II was in stock.

!!!


Now to sell a lot of stuff...
For one thing my 500mm MkI will be on the block.
