Appreciate the kind words David! It was pretty tough shooting while lugging the kids around...plus really hot and/or rainy and pretty heavy of crowds. Didn't go perfectly photo-wise, but I suppose that wasn't the point of the trip.

I feel like I often have to desaturate the greens in my Sony shots... seems like it nails pretty much every color except for green.

ok im glad u stated this i thought it was just me haha,in most of my landscapes i desaturate the greens

He's so cute! :)

I can still remember my dad taking me play in the fountains in KC when I was no older than that.

David, thank you! He just turned 3 on Saturday. Actually we share the same birthday so it's extra special. I'm glad the photos brought back some memories.

A little studio work.

My strobe with 48" octabox bounced to my garage door. (softer shadow and easy on the subject's eyes). Put my yongnuo 568EXII(Canon) to slave and bounced to the ceiling for hairlight. I zoom the yongnuo to 80mm so it won't spill light to my subject's body.

I like the fact you had a three quarter body shot. Some suggestions:

I would have used short lighting and angled her left shoulder closer to the camera. Have her tilt her shoulder slightly and increase the bend in both arms.

A 135mm lens would be more flattering.

Perhaps shoot from a higher angle (don't over do it, just a few shots).

Have her stick her chin out slightly.
