One of my first shots with this very nice lens. I almost didn't take it because of the very hazy, almost-overpowering backlight. 'Pretty much expected her face to be a washed out, low contrast mess, but this lens did a super job of keeping flare to a minimum and maintaining micro contrast.

This lens is top of my wishlist. Looks like I'll be buying one in the fall. Can't wait.

Lots of comments about lack of AF and IS which I don't understand. I purchase a lens based on it's colour rendition, distortion and IQ. Autofocus and certainly IS don't make the resulting images any better. Just saying.....YMMV.
