I learned my lesson in this thread. I removed my shots and won't post anymore until I have nothing but the ball in hard focus and everything else bokah'd out... =\ 1Dx | 7D2 | EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS | EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II | EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II | And a few more red lines.

Don't go so overboard about it. It's just the pictures don't follow the intended theme... like in the "prime lens portraits" thread in the people section. There are pictures in there that are candid or even snapshots taken with a zoom lens.... T1i with 18-55, 55-250, 50 1.8

Jun 04, 2016 21:20 | #820 I gave this a try at a friend's baseball game. I wasn't sure if the 55-250 would be enough f-stop. Results... I missed, but the results were better than I expected. The ball is close and the player is decently out of focus, I think.  Sports-Share by action-photo on SmugmugWas in manual mode with the shutter at 1/1000. Was zoomed into 250 and focused on the grass/dirt border right in front of home plate. With the 3 fps (which really seems slower at times) of the T1i, spray and pray wasn't really working. Just had to learn to time the shot, which is how I got this one. T1i with 18-55, 55-250, 50 1.8
