Good Job! Snappers are really cool turtles.

Many years ago, in Warrenton, Va. I was on my way to work and came across a snapper (same as you) in the middle of the road. He was lumbering along and I was in a hurry and decided to help him along with my size 15 wingtip. He didn't care much for being "assisted" and ever so quick he latched onto the outer edge of the sole of my shoe and wouldn't let go. Finally got him into the grass and shook him loose. Minor damage to my shoe but was worth the effort and experience.

Hi Jim,

Didn't you get the memo, snapping turtles like loafers not wingtips.
