I like the composition, lighting and costume in all of them, but I feel the processing (or lack thereof) lets them down a tad. Steampunk usually implies strong colour casts and dramatic contrast and these unfortunately are just too "normal" to suit the theme...if that makes sense?

Yup, it makes sense. I'm not sure I agree about the stronger color casts for steampunk images. I agree they tend to have more dramatic contrast in some cases. I suppose I could have pushed the processing a bit, but I really don't tend to favor overprocessing (at least as I perseive it) in my images. Particularly in the last image above, where I wanted that softer look. Thanks for your comments and critique... always appreciated!
