Hi Folks,

Wifey got tix to see the Moody Blues this fall. I'm thinking about bringing my G7x. Am I right in thinking they won't really care about a G7x since it's not likely to produce commercial grade pics?

Depends on the venue. I usually take my mirrorless and Ive only been given grief once, they still let me in. That was in a mediym sized venue, at Staples center they didnt even look at my camera twice when I went to see Taylor Swift. Even though the ticket said no camera or video allowed.

Thanks. I'm not even sure it will be worth it. I went to a comedy show once with the guys from Whose Line and had my M1 and 55-250 lens, and they were still very small in the pics. My G7x only zooms to about 120mm and we'll be back a few rows in the balcony, so it may be a waste of time to take pics. But the G7x fits easily in a jacket pocket, so no big deal.

I was surprised to learn from a poster in the Baltimore Civic Center while seeing the RBB&B Circus, that DSLR's with short lenses were allowed. I asked a guard what does that define. He said up to about 4" long and they allowed it. Went home after the show and immediately order 2 tickets for the next weekend! My daughter took in one 7D with WA Lens and I took another 7D with Tele (100/2.0?). Got fantastic images! Well worth the expense of a second and final trip. RIP RBB&B.
