Nice Peter, I have no Eagles at all now until winter. I believe there only here for the deer population and road kills

A few more backyard photos.

I bought a small bird feeder but this whitewing dove is having a problem with it. ;) Got to get a bigger feeder. Thinking about a platform type feeder.

One and a half birds were harmed in the making of this photo ...

Not the typical BIF seen in this thread -

Birthday, Anniversary and Fathers Day this weekend so I decided to go with the best Chicken Tortilla Soup recipe I know of.

It was delicious and if you are interested I am happy to post a link to the version I worked from.

OK, the last time I tried to do anything with these pictures my computer crashed. As a result it has taken two weeks to get around to posting these shots. Same animal in both shots but the sunlight is hitting from different angles. I like the darker one myself. The 'bow wave' is acting like a magnifying glass and you can see his mouth. In both cases the muskrat approached me directly which, in my experience is unusual and it got very close. SOOC jpeg with a minor crop and resizing for posting.

Next post could be a bunny.
