A male Ruby-Throated Hummingbird perched, preening and stretching. I used the 800mm with the 25mm extension tube with the Canon 1Dx Mark II. Shot in 4k @ 60fps and edited to 1080 HD

Wowzers.. so sharp! How much data did you capture? 128gb/256gb worth of 4k/60 footage? I think my computer would explode if I ever attempted to work with that kind of data. But awesome capture and thanks for sharing.

Very nice. Even though we have more than a plethora of Hummingbird magnet plants and home made sugar water, we rarely get more than 2 hummers at a time and always females. Without question you have some stills in this video which would show the ruby throat and fluffed feathers to perfection. Very nice video capture. I may have to go stake out my plants and hope now :)

Today's bird.
We have a 'pet' Buteo. Noticed him in the neighborhood this past winter 'eyeing' our bird studio.
Figured if I feed him he won't eat our little birds.
Built a hawk station and put chipmunk, squirrel, pork fingers, chicken, etc. out every day (unless
I'm gone then I get a neighbor down the road to do it).
I did clear this with the state authorities because the laws for raptors are strict and severe
Anyway working from the blind. First shot after he's landed, 15 feet from the blind. Second on his
way in...too much focal length, arrg, and focus not quite there.
I'll try again sometime.

Your crab shots remind me of Costa Rica in January. Spent a morning shooting those.
