Hard to tell from that photo. From what I can see it may be it may be one of Pentax's "K" series. Minolta had a similar silhouette too I believe.

Velvia 100. Had to fix a light leak in cs6 that I discovered after this film was left in the camera.

Any advice appreciated. I'm looking for a reasonably priced 35mm film camera, I've recently bought a Lubitel med format camera and LOVE the feel of it (the film i mean) so i'm looking to get back into some film cameras.

I love me some 35mm and have quite a few cameras that I play with regularly. While I love the more modern Canon SLR's that I can use with my EF lenses (Elan 7ne, Rebel G even the EOS 650 is fun), I always enjoy the feel of it better when I'm using a more old school type camera like the AE-1 or the Pentax K1000. I recently bought an Olympus OM-G and loooove it. And there's something to be said for a go-anywhere always in my pocket point-and-shoot too. For that, I love my Olympus Stylus Epic and also am fond of my quirky little Canon MC.

So I think first you might need to decide what kind of 35mm camera you're looking for.
As for where? Ebay and Goodwill are good for auction type stuff -- just don't pay a lot if it says untested because it really sucks to get one that doesn't work. I've had very good luck with goodwill auctions though - apparently it's rare to donate something that doesn't work. But check shipping charges before bidding on Goodwill - they can be quite steep. Another place I find good cameras is a facebook group called Film Photo Gear. There you'll usually get cameras that people actually use and know they work or can tell you about the individual quirks. Might pay a little more, but might be worth it to know you'll be getting something that actually works.

I love the oldskool feel I used to have an OM40 but that was a while back.
Being based in the uk i might have a look in Charity (thrift) shops and have a hunt on facebook.
I shoot sony and have been thinking of getting something with an m42 mount so i can use my adapter on the lenses with my A6000.

Id recomend going for a russian rangefinder. Like a Zorki or a FED. In the UK you can get them cheap, like 4 times less than what they go for here.

The lenses are gorgeous Zeiss copies and they come in leica thread mount, which adapts beautifully to the Sony E mount.

I have a FED 2 with a Jupiter 8 which I also use on my Sony A7.

I'm quite liking the look of the fed 5B? is there much difference?>

What adapter are you using to mate it with the A7 for the jupiter. I have the Zorki 4.

I saw a sweet camera at s thrift shop today... It was in a collection of 15 other cameras for $350. He wouldnt sell me just the one i want bc it wasnt that perticular guy's part of the store so he told me to come back on wednesday and talk to that different guy.

The later cameras are more advanced, so a 5 would be a great pick.

It usually comes with the industar 61, which is the sharpest of the russian lenses that I've tested.

The cool part is that you can unscrew the lens to lower the minimum focus distance.
