This group was serving tables at a restaurant in the old town of Tallinn, Estonia today.

Neat picture.

What the heck are you doing over there? Doesn't seem like a highly sought after vacation spot. You're a long way from home....that is if you still live in Tampa.

Bob,
I had made previous trips to Denmark, Sweden and Norway and decided to complete my Scandinavian adventures with a visit to Helsinki this year. It was a short ferry ride from there to Tallinn, Estonia and that is how I wound up here. While taxi drivers in Finland are tested on their ability to speak English, that is not the case in Estonia. One driver I had today said that he speaks Estonian, German and Russian, but no English. He still got me to my destination. In the above photo, I was interested in the girl on the left but when I asked to take her photo, the waiter and the girl on the right thought I wanted their photo also. I'll be back in Tampa on Sunday. Looking forward to it.

Priit,
I had a very nice visit to Tallinn and enjoyed my brief stay in Estonia. Only problem I had was with the cab drivers not understanding English but they understood where I wanted to go and took me there, so it wasn't a big deal. While it was sunny when I visited old town, it rained the following day when I went to the Seaplane Hangar which provided a good indoor venue. The business lounge in the airport was nice and had a nice brew on tap. The people of Estonia are great and very friendly. I would be happy to return for another visit, perhaps to see the Estonian Aviation Museum.

This was the waitress that I was interested in. I thought she was cute. When I started to photograph her, the other two moved in thinking I wanted the three of them.

They were waiters at the Olde Hansa restaurant in Tallinn. It has a medieval theme that the waiters, and the food, are styled after.
