With somewhat static objects the EM5 and Metabones do well. With moving objects the 7D wins hands down. However, when I get a chance I'm going to photograph some hummingbirds in flight with the combo. It will be a challenge but fun too

Took the EM5 on vacation. Here's how the kit lens did with landscape work. I was out early hoping for some Sunrise pictures. The clouds didn't start to part until later though. Happily it did offer some nice light beams. Uncropped

Saw a this tiny crab spider on a flower petal in the garden and this was taken with the 120-300, 2 TCs, a few extension tubes, and the metabones adapter. (I really need to get a proper Macro lens)

nice one, a deticated macro lens is easier to carry around and be ready for the shot. i picked up a 60mm nikon macro f2.8 and it was very inexpensive. works awesome on th em5 with adapter, its not to big at all. i also have a older 50mm canon macro but it needs connection to change aperture,i set it at f2.8 on my canon cam then leave it but some times u need some dof.

Detail of a peacock feather using the Sig 120-300 f2.8 wide open plus extension tubes. (Metabones adapter couldn't communicate through the stack of tubes so I couldn't stop down)

Uncropped

Pared down the extension tubes to one set (65mm total) and the metabones adapter could communicate with the 120-300 lens. I cropped off the very left edge of this photo to create an 11x14 ratio.
