From my own research, Fuji seems to be the best combination of product quality and support/customer service. The X-E2 series and above has some nice images on Flickr and they have some nice lenses. They also feel more solidly built than their Sony counterparts.

Yeah the more I read the more I want the xt10. Just gotta figure out what lens would be good with it

Wish I could use my canon lens on it haha

I have been back and forward through this cycle over the years. I used the 5d2 for many years and supplimented it later as I wanted to downsize. I used exclusively Fuji cameras for about 5 years. Most of their offering from x100, xpro1 to XT1. I love the fuji cameras for their size and iq is great. The lenses are on the most part very nice too. However recently I have come back to canon and bought a 6D, which I absolutely love. Read all the arguments you like, but for me the FF character and images from the canon are just something I prefer. Its hard to quantify, but they are different and much of it is personal taste. For me, as much as I still ove the Fuji files, I prefer the canon files. The 6D is a great walk-around too and much more comfortable than my old 5d2. I have always preferred primes anyway, so when i want to go lightweight or am travelling i have a pair of very comapct MF voigtlander lenses - 28 and 40mm and sometimes i throw in my canon 50mm 1.4. The voigts are quite cheap, very solid, but very compact. I use a BlackRapid type sling and honestly, it is not much difference to carrying my XT1. I love the images i get from the voigtlander lenses, especially the 40mm. It hits the sweet spot for focal lengths for me and its chipped, so you get focus confirmation in the camera. You will save yourself a fortune going this route instead of investing in a whole new system, and u still have the versatility of FF and the use of the lenses you already have. Personally I would never trade my 6D now for my Fuji or any other smaller format system.

Yeah the more I look into this the more I realize I may just stick with Canon. I have the same thing that you do to carry and without a battery grip and extra battery it would probably be tolerable. I don't mind my full setup but I just wanted a second body since my sister will be learning from me but maybe she can just invest into her own stuff I guess

XF 35/1.4 or 35/2 are both excellent, both are better than the Canon equivalents in my opinion.

I had a different experience...

The Canon files were better to my eyes in lower light (ISO3200+), but not even by that much. When I got my X-E1 I kept the 6D mostly for it's low light capability, to me the low ISO files were pretty much the same as far as "look". A Fuji with fast glass is nearly indiscernible from a 6D with fast glass, the differences in DOF are miniscule for most subjects in my opinion. I think the only reason people see the difference is that they're specifically looking for it.

I sold my 6D and got the a7S thinking it'd be close enough to the Fuji in size and still give me my low light awesomeness... but I soon missed my X-E1 and bought an X-E2 to replace it and now it sees more use than my a7S does. I'm very seriously considering selling the Sony and getting the X-Pro2 instead.

I quit on 5Dc as walkaround camera years ago, with any lens on it. My 500D with 24mm 2.8 is great for it. No needs to switch on something else. But if I ever try something else and not overpriced it would be Fuji X-E2 with AF locking to eyes, not just on face.

I have a week or two before I would buy something so I'll just keep browsing. X - e2 or the tx10 both look awesome and the 35 millimeter F2 is the one I have in mind although it's a little over 50 millimeter focal range on these cameras. Honestly I just want something new to experiment with and also have for my wife or family to use if we go anywhere to shoot

Are all of these cameras really the same image quality? I know the three of them have the same sensor and processor but everywhere I read rates the xt10 higher than most other mirrorless cameras anywhere close to the price let alone the E2 series

Well as many have noted, best is relative to what you want to do. My walkaround these days is either a Fuji X100S, just love the retro feel and the IQ, or a Sony Rx100 II I picked up recently for its compact size and zoom and video capability. For the most part the Fuji does what I want when I'm doing on the fly landscape or portraits, while the Sony is my daily commute camera since you never know when the mood will strike. When I'm doing photo work I use Canon DSLRs and keep the Fuji close by for candids at the events I cover.

My days of walking around are long gone. My electric scooter, shown with my daughter aboard, now serves me quite well,
off and on road. Weight of gear is not a consideration.

Long story short, I shoot a 6D and have a few Canon lenses. I want something smaller for Photo walks and family trips.

I'm also looking for something smaller than my 6D. Here's a useful site to compare camera size..

Sorry, I can't offer any advice. I've only used my Canon DSLRs.

For me, size is very important. My favorite walk around system is my 6D with either the 24-70 II or 70-200 f2.8 II.
After a lot of reading on the net about alternative systems, most likely I give the Sony Rx100 III a try. It won't replace
my 6D, but its size and IQ are very good for times when I don't want to carry my Canon gear.

I understand completely.
I am ordering a door for my battery on the 6D and will more than likely continue to use that but

I am planning on getting the xt10 or the x-e2 this week I think.

Unless another fuji is similar in price and better IQ than these but from what I've read these two are basically the best.

I wanted the xt10 because its a little newer.
I was gonna do the e2s but I'm not sure.,

The only tangible difference between the X-E2 and the X-T10 is the location of the EVF, tilting screen and some controls. They use the exact same sensor, EVF, AF system and firmware.

The X-Pro2 is the "best" body from Fuji, but it's a good bit more expensive. The X-T1 is essentially the same as the X-T10 but with a larger body and much nicer EVF, weather sealing and a few other enhancements and no built in flash.

If you don't mind buying used there is in my opinion absolutely no reason to buy the X-E2s, it's nearly identical to the X-E2 with the latest firmware.

I have the X-t1 and just recently picked up an x-e2 with the 35mm f2. I would definitely recommend the x-e2 with the used prices! I will certainly use the xt1 with the 35mm f2 a bit more when conditions are calling for possible rain due to both being weather sealed. I'll be honest I'm glad I have both as I use each for different purposes. The tilt screen on the x-t1 comes in handy at times. Good luck and if you go with Fuji be patient with the changes from the canon system.
