Wow, you've got some fantastic shots tdierikx!

Thank you!

I visit a number of zoos in Sydney (Australia) - Taronga Zoo, Featherdale Wildlife Park, WildLife Sydney, and Symbio Zoo... and have also recently discovered Hunter Valley Zoo about a 2.5 hour drive away.

Watching the various animals over the years has possibly given me some insight to what they are likely to be doing or where they may be positioned at various times of the day - not to mention that the ones that you can get closer to seem to recognise you after a while and will do things in response to the paparazzi chatter I have a nasty habit of doing... *grin*

Case in point, Ralph the crazy Wedge Tailed Eagle at Symbio that screeches and flies at me every time I come near her enclosure... she's a bugger to get decent photos of, as her mesh is quite small, and I have to basically sneak up on the enclosure to get my focus in before she kicks off... errr! There is also Spike the Wedgie at Featherdale who runs up to greet me when I come near his enclosure - but his antics are of a much friendlier nature... what is it with me and the Wedgies?

My aim is to try to show the personality of the animals I'm photographing... and I hope that I've managed to get that right with most of my photos...

T.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.
