Following on a previous discussion about threads dedicated to specific Fuji lenses, I think there are enough owners of this terrific lens to get this one rolling.

Self-portrait shot today. And what shoot is complete without my furry friend photobombing at least a few of the exposures, right?

A few from me showing the different uses of the XF 23mm F1.4, for me anyway. Versatile lens.

I remember that barista shot from earlier. Nice one.

Here's a rare pose today from my little friend below.

Landscapes absolutely. Here's a couple of impromptu action shots from the subway. I've posted these elsewhere, but it seems appropriate here.

Well, I just grabbed this lens as my first real fuji lens. I spent much deliberation, so much it was sucking fun out of it, and I was really close to doing the F2 version to keep this kit smaller And cheaper, but I got an allegedly mint one for $75 more than the F2 so I did it.

I have poured over reviews, and they all would have you getting the new F2 in a heartbeat, so I hope I made The right call here. I love my art50, but I am not a clinically perfect lens guy, hell I like m42 glass, but for me, there is no substitute or workaround for speed, and I really wanted a native 1.4 lens in an FL I can use a lot.

The shots in this thread made me feel good about pulling the trigger.

I am struggling to groove with this lens. Granted it is days old in my possession, and I probably have forced tried to use it, I don't think it is the actual lens, but that I am wondering if since I shoot 24/50 that the 35 fl is really messing with me. It is a me issue, and I was expecting a little shallower DOF, but again I don't think I have been using 35fl properly at all. I sorta went through this with my 50 when I got it, And that worked out well. Even though I really don't do people street, I still feel like this is a length that makes the most sense to have a good prime. I need to stop forcing i think...

Just wanted to update that I think the newness of Fuji and 35fl to me was the reason I didn't immediately get wowed by this lens. The last week has been a lot different, I have used it less, and let it naturally come out and I have been enjoying the crap out of. Mostly just fun shots around the house as I have still been rolling 18-55 to take to work, but it really is a killer lens. I have also would like to retract the "expecting shallower DOF", it can create some really thin focus depth and nice without being close to the subject. 35 is weird because it acts like a wide angle sometimes and others not so much. Anyway, I didn't want to leave this thread hanging with those being my last comments.

It is a solid lens. The FL still has me not sure I have it figured out but I am getting there.
