Any other pros doing executive portrait shoots?

I've been offering something I call an "Executive Photoshoot" for business people who want to get high quality images of themselves to use for personal marketing, perhaps job hunting. Similar concepts I've seen are "personal brand photoshoots" and maybe even "social media photoshoots"

I'd love to hear from other pro photographers who offer something similar to their clients. If you do, please share what you call it and any other details you think might be of interest.

I will start by including a link to a blog post I created regarding a recent executive photoshoot I did in Portland, Oregon.

Nice shot, but I wish he had pulled his tie up properly. Not your fault, his.

The lightsource/reflector seems to have been placed too low. It looks like he was under lit.

An unkempt tie is the photographer's fault. When we are doing a posed shot, we need to perfect the setup and direct the client to look their best. That is what portrait photographers do.

Love the background! Some may say distracting, but I think it lends to infer an executive in his metropolitan environment.

I typically just call it commercial, as in to aid commerce.

your shot isn't that great to be totally honest. The light source is way too low, the background could be better, the framing is awkward, not quite rule of thirds and not quite centered either and the loose tie is the photographer's fault.

I have to agree with this. One thing that really used to get a lot of good comments from my clients was telling the ladies their necklace was crooked or the latch had moved around front. They would immediately correct it, smile at which point I could click a shot. Many times, it was the best shot of the session.

I agree with this. Nothing about it says commercial or professional. It looks like a test shot to check the lighting. The picture is cropped to highlight the background image, not the subject. I'd go more mid section crop and tighten down the top. Lighting looks to be just shooting right in their face and eye level.
