I would love to hear about others with the new f017 version of the lens and if they have dusts issues. I got my refund since Samy's Camera does not have the lens in stock. Is a shame since I received $50+ ebay bucks from the purchase. Now, is gone. Is nice they aren't dicking me around with the issue of refund. I am back to square one....looking for a dual purpose macro and portrait lens with sufficient fast AF for some sports photography. :)

I use the original release VC version, no dust, no issues, fast enough to track kids running and pans awesome with moving cars and you've seen my images in this thread.

Sorry Tamron...your latest f017 didn't impress me much. Anyway, just pulled the trigger for the Sigma 105 f2.8 OS instead. $50 cheaper than the latest Tamron. I will be really surprised if I was the only owner who has a persistent dusts issues. It got so bad that I can blow dusts into the inside of the front element just by using a blower. :) Is that a serious design flaw or what?

Sigma is here...now, that's what a lens should be. No loose parts LOL. Only -2 AF adjustment is needed. It has little CA at wide open only under strong sun and less softer than the new Tamron. I say is sharper at wide open than the Tamron. You get a nice heavy duty cushion pouch. The new Tarmon comes with no pouch despite the lens has been "upgraded." AF is as fast as the new Tamron...
