Which announced lenses are you waiting for asap ?

I'm waiting for the Laowa Venus Optics 12 2.8 Zero-Distortion to sell my Canon 16-35 f4L IS, and you ?
As far as I know no 24-70 2.8 Art, 85 1.4 Art, 135 2 Art OS have been announced yet ? So for the rest nothing particular atm.

None I guess at this time. I'm interested to see what Sigma is about to start working on next.

Then again, I mostly look for new lenses & announcements so that people will sell their current good older gear to get the new stuff, which floods the market with great stuff. I want to see a 135L II or 135Art or something, so that the current old 135L will drive to the $600 range and then get one. I like new stuff to make older stuff even more inexpensive and plentiful.

It's not an announced lens, just a rumor. But I'm waiting for more info about Canon's 200-600 lens.

Of course, if it's only a rumor then I'll be waiting a long time.

Sold my Sigma 85 a few weeks ago in anticipation for the Art replacement.

This is my only asap. Actually I need my bonus to come asap so I know what lenses I can keep vs what I need to sell

Holding out for a Sigma 85 or 135 ART lens to complete my lens collection.

I talked to a friend who knows a guy that delivers office stationary to the Canon service center in NJ and he heard they were working on a new lens. Clearly he was talking about the 135L f/2 IS...but I'm not sure if the other lenses mentioned have been officially announced from any reliable source.

I might look at Canon's 16-35 f/2.8L III if it arrives as rumors predict.

the only new lenses canonrumors talks about coming out this year are the 16-35f2.8III, 70-300IS II, and a 24-105IS II

that's what I said too, but not really. The lens is still kinda big. On the A7rii, the 135L is stabilized, and quite frankly a beast of a lens, and really good...... just wish it was smaller, like 100 f2 smaller. That's my threshold on lens sizes. I still use the 135 plenty but would really love it if it were smaller.

whichever way you look at it a 135 f/2 lens is going to have a front element at least 65mm in diameter, quite likely a 72mm filter thread at the smallest. If a smaller lens is desired you need to look for something with a smaller diameter aperture

I would be ok with 72mm filter as long as it's shorter, even 13cm (from sensor) lens I'm ok with. Long lenses are harder to fit in the bags I have.
