Got this in my e-mail today. Technology just keeps leaping ahead. It's a wonderful world!

.

That is hilarious, Joe!

Unfortunately, I see that you posted it 15 hours ago. And it says to order within the next 3 hours.
DARN! Looks like I missed a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own The Greatest Camera Ever.
Bummed.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

There are actually a few surprisingly high quality systems like that out there. Ran into someone playing around with one that came with a case dedicated to the phone model in question, and even had a proper grip that could be slipped on as well to make holding the thing actually work.

I sure wasn't going to be ditching my 7D bodies and telephotos for it any time soon, but if I were doing a ton of backpacking? "Reasonably okay" lenses that fit into a case about the size of my 7D and weighed less? Well, might actually be something I would consider to get a little more flexibility and functionality out of a cellphone's camera.

Sounds awesome to me ...

Love it when a bunch of peope dump their Canon gear, especially all at the same time, on Craigslist.

Drops cost, and opens the door for me to buy more and extra Canon gear at an even lower price.

Amusingly enough, I ran into a man at a photo swap meet who was selling one. I tried the fisheye, which was much too soft at the corners. But the wide/macro lens worked well enough.

I had to sell a bunch of Nikon gear to come up with the $5, but it was worth every cent.

So, I just had a dental procedure done. I was concerned about something and texted my dental surgeon. Using the macro lens allowed me to text an image and determine everything was fine.

My "real camera" macro lenses won't fit in my mouth for an image looking down at a rear tooth.

I know we started this thread to poke fun at the add campaign, but they do have a place...right above my molar.

Plus, Uncle Bob probably does NOT have one of these!
