Are there any cameras out there that you can put frame lines on the evf/lcd for different aspect ratios I.e frame lines for say 8x10 but the image is still recorded in the 3:2 ratio? I know some bodies have crop modes for different ratios but I would rather capture all the available pixels. Sure you can shoot loose and crop in post but superimposed frame lines would make framing more accurate if you had a final print size in mind. Seems odd to me you can't do that on all mirror less bodies?

I asked my friend photog Claire Chennault to throw me a file to post-process because I'm practicing a technique in photoshop. It's suppose to be a simple retouch but my creative mind kicks in.

If I went overboard, I'm sorry I'm a former graphic designer. :)

Just went through a few bags recently.

Sold
- Clik Elite Compact Sport (didn't like the gear was exposed slightly, didn't fit much).
- Dakine Photo Trail

bought
- Sony LCS-SB1 sling. This is my everyday carry lately.
- LowePro Flipside Sport 10L AW - had to import this from Europe as couldn't find the 10L in blue. Bag is discontinued, not bad but not as useable as I had planned.

For me the ideal bag when not carrying too much is a sling type bag but a specific type of sling like the above Sony or the Lowepro photo sling. It looks like a diaper bag or for some people says it looks like a purse. But for me I think it's ideal.

A backpack can carry a lot but they're often bulky and not easy to access gear. Even bags with side access (F-Stop Kenti, Lowepro Photo Sport, Clik Elite, etc) aren't easy since you have to unsling one shoulder, swing it around, etc.

A good backpack is the Mindshift rotation since it's easy to access gear but can't carry too many lenses.

A messenger bag starts to get heavy after a while. A sling bag like the Think Tank Turnstyle type doesn't carry well on me for some reason. Always want to carry it high but it ends up carrying low.

The Sony bag I bought carries like a messenger, is a sling but looks like a diaper bag. Fits my a6300 with 16-70 and 2-3 other lenses. Has room for other accessories, batteries, filters, caps. Expands to fit a water bottle on either side. Has two zippered pockets in the front which I'll throw my wallet and keys into or skip a lens cap in. Has a Velcro pocket as well.

I like that I can carry it on me shoulder, swing it around to take my camera out and swing it back when not needed. Material is very light weight and it's not stiff at all so it conforms to your body.

I think I found my ideal bag.

The bag I mentioned before

After three years of using M-mount lenses on my Sony cameras, Voitlander introduced one new lens, a 10mm f5.6 and two new versions of 12 and 15mm in E-mounts, including the EXIF data through electronic contacts.
I'm not rushing out to replace the 12mm f5.6 Voigtlander in M-mount or the Zeiss 15mm f2.8, also an M-mount. But I did order the new 10mm Heliar-Hyper Wide.
Over the last two nights you will have seen photos I posted here taken with the lens.
I have to say that I am impressed. The natural vignetting of a super wide is not very noticeable. The 130 degree field of view has built-in optical problems. If you want straight lines, you need a bubble level in the hot shoe or use your viewfinder grid lines to keep lines straight. You can also just jink things around and get crazy perspectives.
Sharpness is not a problem. ISO indoors without flash might be, but not the lens sharpness. At f5.6 with infinity at the 5.6 mark everything from 1.2 feet to infinity will be in focus. If you want to be critical, focusing in the viewfinder with focus-peaking using magnification will do the job.
At that setting you can do a heck of a selfie, but you'll have to crop because an awful lot is in the frame.
And I have a readout of all the lens info on my files, even though it is manual focus only.
It's a shame I can't use the lens on my Leica M 240, but I'm not buying the Leica version, too.

It's great. Both the 18 and the 25 are sharp and render nicely as far as I'm concerned.
Mind you, I'm not a pixelpeeper.
I shot almost exclusively with the 18 and 25 last night (with the occasional CV 15 and Sigma 35/1.4 thrown in).

Nothing special, but this police helicopter was making repeated passes over the house, so - after quickly flushing my Family-size pack of Aspirin down the toilet - I went to the front door and grabbed this quick shot.

Across the road from my front-door.
OK, the parking signs aren't very attractive, but I really like the way the Council brightens up the neighbourhood with these hanging baskets on all the lampposts. Quite civilised.
