From this past winter. A fairly heavy crop. Shot with a 6D. The whole series looked great.

Hi. Nice pics. With regard to metering, I've just been to the Air Tattoo and had mostly grey/white sky's. I used Tv and auto ISO and generally over-exposed by 1 - 1 and two thirds for grey/white sky (the higher on white sky's with fast jets because they're normally smaller in the frame). And for bluer sky's I used more like two thirds over. Worked quite well for me. Will post some pics soon :-)

Lately I have been using my 70-300L to shoot indoors with a flash, with what I think, terrific results. Does anyone else use there 70-300L indoors with a flash? I use for mainly shooting my grandkids. I use to use my 24-105L but always wanted to be tighter, then I said, why not try my 70-300L. What do you think? I sometimes still use my 24-105L (at birthdays with a lot of people in the house) but if there are not many people and I can back up a bit I use my 70-300L. I do not own a 70-200L lens.

Thanks, I have been looking for a 1.4 TC for my 70-300L, which one did you use?

I've got a Kenko MC4 DGX. Works pretty well with the 70-300mm if you don't mind some (quite a bit, actually) chromatic aberration in the corners.

According to the manufacturer, MC4 was designed for shorter focal lengths. Their PRO 300 DGX should be a better option.
