If You're going to stick with a crop camera though an 80D would be a more reasonable choice for sure. I do (or used to) shoot a lot of sports and that's why I have it. Next camera will hopefully be a 6D II if and when it comes out. Actually I just got a 5D3 and kept the 7D2 as well. For me crop and FF are for completely different purposes. The 5D3 struggles where the 7D2 performs perfectly: running, jumping dogs and horses. But for portraits and high ISO scenes the FF is the winner. I used a 6D for a short period of time and while I liked the high ISO performance and the bokeh I really missed the joystick which the 5D3 and the 7D2 both have, I use that to quickly change the AF point. I had a lot of colorcast on location: the wall next to her is orange, the roof is a darkblue seethrough plastic so I struggled with the white balance quite a lot. I did not apply too much retouching as I prefer a more natural style when it comes to everyday people and not model studio shots. nice NickS
