Nice shots... for an 'old' lens. :)

Most reviews I've seen say the original version is the better version. That begs the question, "Why come out with "New!", but NOT improved lens? I just picked up vII. So far, so good. I like it for tight candids, and hope it performs well with indoor court games.

My BIL from last weekend. SOOC jpg, downsized.

I like my version 1 for one thing, the built in hood, love them, so much more compact to carry. I picked this lens up a few years ago on eBay for about 400 australian, its been great along side of my 135L for extra reach

:) I think we must be the only two on the planet who use a 135L and 200 2.8L (or II). I've heard lots of people say that they are too close together. Not for me.

135L is very popular

Just purchased one of these from a member here on the forum. I have not taken anything worth posting, just some practice shots. With just the ones I have seen so far I have posted my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 USM version I on the sale forum. I now want to trade it for a Canon 100 f/2.8L macro IS.
Will post pictures later. :-D

Really think I am going to like this lens. Works great on both the 6D and 7D II. ;-)a

Agreed. I'm planning on having both these lenses soon. I've had the 200 2.8 II before and wish I'd kept it.

That makes us three in the boat :) I would part with my 200/2.8 only for 200/2 :)
