It's great to see photos everyone!

Blake, I hope you continue to post in the thread also. Great Start!!

Kevin, your weather looks fantastic. I'm headed to Seattle next Monday!
I am impressed with your ferries. They look so clean and new. I'll be using the ferries to get around the islands in Puget Sound.
They are very well used!

And I'm back online with power to boot.

First off, where I left off, at the Fuglsang Manor, first off the bridge leading to the manor, next one is a closeup at the magic f/2 which is leading on to the next posting.

The closeup from previous post, is actually taken from a flower bed or a specially groomed privet, the garden also contains one rare 100 year old Thuja (external link), that is cable of hiding a 50 person ensemble when there is a concert in the garden, I tried to take a full pano from the inside, but it is impossible, so this is a small section of it's entwined base.

Quick pic of a tiki in my backyard..

Will post up more as time allows.

(this 50 is different from my 50, the focus ring is flat/flush with he lens body, whereas mine is on the 'front' portion of the lens barrel--also this lens is not allowing manual focusing, only auto)

Later on, we went to Knuthenborg Safaripark (external link), where nifty got up close and personal with the wolves, first one straight out of camera, just to show you how close - nifty does pretty well for a portrait lense I must say.

Okay, then I'll leave it as is, Clare, because I would like to take it with me to the countryside and in Winter there's nothing to see there. I don't plan on keeping it long though, so depending upon how long Kenneth will keep it, you might have it back in the Fall with it's beautiful colours.

Levina If you like I can get nifty shipped out on Monday, that should make it pretty snappy to Clare, I do have some shots to process since my forgotten charger so no biggy for me, but I wold like to keep it for one more week.

This sounds like the original nifty, not the MK II.

It is totally awesome. What fun this thread is when all hosts do their bit.

That's fine, Kenneth. I will pm you my address after submitting this post, so you already have it, but whenever you are ready. Don't feel rushed!
Once I receive Nifty I will do the wishing list and then ship it mid August or so to Annie so she can do beautiful Scotland in the Fall.

EDIT: You know what I also like about so many different hosts being active at the same time? It shows so nicely that each host does his own thing with Nifty. So we're getting very different kinds of shots, reflecting each host's interests. I love that!

We have not seen Peter around for a while.
A great guy and wonderful POTN host!

Thanks for the kind words :)

I won't be in Europe until November. I can't tell whether I feel like hosting a nifty, or if I will just be sleeping for a few months.
This is what I am doing right now:
