Hi guys,

I have recently switched to Nikon and one of my Lenses is the 14-24. I am looking into the LEE SW150 filter system for it, however I also want to be able to use my filter investment with other lenses that accept say a 77mm screw thread like the 24-70mm.

I am aware of an adapter ring that fits the SW150 holder to normal threads however they say that the big/little stopper cannot be used with this since the 'light guard' thing is not compatible with it and as such, light will be let in behind the filter.

Has anyone overcome this issue?

What filter system can I invest in that won't just be stuck to the 14-24?

Tom

I've had the Fotodiox filter setup for the 14-24 since they announced it. I'm very happy with it, a year or so after it came out they added a 10 stop ND which was a filter I needed. Mine stays on the lens.

Here's a review by Steve Perry.

Here's a another review by Glenn Nagel.

There are a few other reviews, you can google them if you're interested.

I have NiSi filter adapter for my tamron 15-30 which they have one for 14-24 you might want to look at them, they also have really good big stopper. plus they have adapter 77mm or 82mm to use filter with other lens.

Thanks, that system looks good.

Do they do adapters for other lenses such as my 24-70?

Yes it depends if the filter tread either 77mm or 82mm. I have the 82mm adapter ring to use with my 24-70 VR and also the 77mm to use with anything else with 77mm. It works great for me since I have to buy only one 150mm filter to use with all of the lenses.

Here is some picture of 82mm Filter Adapter Ring For Nisi 150mm Filter Holder.

I meant does the fotodiox have adapters for standard 77mm or other thread sizes?

77mm wouldn't begin to cover that lens. The Fotodiox screw in filters are 145mm. Sorry for the late reply, I don't get to POTN very often.
