Just picked up the 1990 model of the Canon 100mm f/2.8 here on the forum. Who needs USM or IS? (Well, I probably wouldn't suffer from having it, but my budget would.) Shot hand-held with flash and natural light, and I only had two shots at the little bugger.

Still working on PP, macro-technique, etc. Input always welcome. I'm probably not 'sharing my macros ready', but I'm just so chuffed to have a proper macro lens. It really is a whole new world.

This looks like a great start to me. I couldn't resist posting my first macro shots either, and they were not this good  Congratulations on the new lens :)

Thanks gents. To be fair, I've had the camera proper for 3 years. If I can keep a trajectory like yours Travis I will be a happy camper.
