I know there's room for improvement so C&C is welcome. ![]() Nice shot and not bad at all for a first-time self portrait. A couple of things I would change. 1. Hot spot on background seems a bit too hot. Drop it down a stop and bring color back into the background. Also, lights seem a bit harsh (nose, cheek and forhead hotspots), dial down the exposure a tad. Other than that, great shot. And wow! I love those glasses. At first, I thought you had PSed the lens out for some reason but upon close inspection, I see that there are lens in the glasses. itsallart Cream of the Crop More info | I like your the lighting in your shot with no reflections of your eye glasses; I just wish I could see a hairline of the other lens so that the temple doesn't look like it's floating Renata

I appreciate the feedback on this, Hinson as it's greatly appreciated! These are the things I noticed as well so glad I was at least on the same page in identifying the issues in order to correct them in the future. Some of my lighting I have are constant lighting so this along with getting use to using a strobe and OCF will just take experimentation to find that right setting. I look forward to that challenge as it is rather fun using these along with the triggers for the flash lighting.

I ordered them through Zenni Optical, on online eyeglass retailer. Not only are they lightweight and stylish, they are also cheap so I was very pleased! No problem, glad to help. Just dialing down the exposure a tad would make the difference. And I just got new glasses but I think I'll check our Zenni just for kicks. I love those glasses. Jul 18, 2016 13:27 | #2459 I like your shot, but the only thing which bothers me is her left hand. In current framing it looks, as if it wasn't her hand.
