Yesterday was cloudy and gray most of the day with those moments of sun coming through that make the sky that nasty blinding white color.

Even still, I was able to grab some (hopefully) decent shots. I keep playing with lowering the shutter speed on those prop planes.

I also seem to be maybe a little colorblind as I can't quite seem to get a faithful color.

Share your own if you were there.

Those look like it had very challenging conditions & just like you I've been in them. You have to go with the light you're given & you did fine. In fact shooting Quick Silver in that light may have been easier than in full sun thanks to it's mirror like skin.


A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.

That blue is pretty close, but the haze we get in the summer just sucks for photography.

True, I can imagine what it must be like having to deal with full sunlight while trying to shoot Quick Silver.

Not only that, but that direct, overhead sunlight for most shows pretty much sucks, too. I guess poor lighting is just the price we have to pay.:-)
