A really photogenic Black-headed Cat Snake (Boiga nigriceps). The head looks more green than black to me. Peninsula Malaysia.

Keith - yes, probably within the viper's striking range, I got even closer after that! Been meaning to DIY a shield but been putting it off.

grayline - all the models here were pretty cooperative. You'll have to handle the snakes and let them calm down if they don't cooperate in the beginning.
