Nice scene. But, for me, the grainy and blotchyness on these really hurt (along with the large crop you indicated). I think color NR, luminance NR and selective/unmasked sharpening would really help. I you provide a limb to original image, I can take a pass if you would find it helpful.

A couple of loon shots. Both are cropped a bit. The second a lot more than the first. Taken on different days.

Watched this one for a while but it didn't seem like it was going to get close. It did and I wasn't ready. My sudden movements and off it went back to the other end of the small pond it was calling home. Best I could do. Not being rready seems to be a popular theme with me.

Lighting on this one is not good but it was a nice 'family' shot. I didn't see these at first. They were less than 50 feet from the side road I was on. Different loon, different pond but the two families of loons only live about 500 meters from each other.

This one is cropped a bit as usual. It falls apart on close inspection but it is not something I see often. Need to find a way to get closer. This young moose has taken up residence close to a pond inside the town limits. He has become a bit of an attraction. We don't have a lot of moose.

Last ones for now. Just for Pondrader. Minor crops. The shots are pretty good but I didn't want to pull in too much and loose the context of the shot. This guy was busy going about his business and I had to make noise to get him to turn around and look at me.

We were both heading east. I had time to stop, watch, take pictures and drive about 100 feet to keep up with him before taking more pictures. At first he wouldn't turn to look at me. In the first shot posted here he had just crossed the road, jumped down into the bushes after something and came back up empty handed. He was heading back to 'my' side of the road. I managed to get him to look at me again in the second shot before he disappeared into the woods.

Love the photo, but I had to check the date taken in the meta data. Regular unleaded still $3.00 a gallon? You might not want to see this. (external link)

Does the TF actually know about the soda cans and PVC pipe from 30 years ago?
