Local girl makes homemade soaps and it's awesome. I bought some for my wife and decided to play around with my lighting and product shots a little.

I do my own photography on the products I make
This holds billiard chalk and slides in your pocket, its deer horn olive wood and cocobolo wood .
There are not any stains, or ink used.
Everything is made of natural materials and all hand inlaid.

This is from a deer that died in a zoo I believe in Ohio.
I guess the deer was the last of its kind and now is extinct.
The zoo keeper that took care of this animal kept the antlers after the deer died .
The zoo keeper also died and the son had me make this for him .

I shot this last year, the area that was available was only big enough for the one clay pigeon trap (the orange clays are 120mm, or nearly 5" in diameter to give some indication of scale). They were shot individually, with a strobe in a 26"(high)×18" softbox at table top level, about 45 degrees left and about 2 feet away. I then had a second strobe in a 24" silver brolly above and 45 degrees right. The trap is on a table with a white correx sheet with a sheet of clear acrylic on top for the reflection effect. The two traps were placed in identical locations on the table, and I moved the camera about two feet to the left for the second shot. I shot the left hand trap first, followed by the right hand trap, all direction indications as you look at the image. The background was a large white drop cloth lit by a third strobe. I pushed the background to white in LR4 for each shot, then put then together in PSCS5.

Combining my passion for photography and reptiles, I had the opportunity to photograph some most intriguing but deadly snakes in a studio setting. The animal photographed were done for a "for sale" venomous reptile classified advertisement.

Good images! We had a cougar in the studio for Lincoln/Mercury at times, but I think I'd draw the line at a cobra... unless it was a V-8! ; D
They aren't known for a peaceful disposition.

Actually the cobras that I have photographed were the most laid back. The rattlesnakes were the ones that were the biggest hand full.
