nice shot, curious as to why you would bother with a 7DII given that you have a 1DX2 ?

You didn't ask me but I'd like to venture an opinion. The 7Dii has pixel density the 1DXii doesn't have. So for wildlife the two can be complimentary and depending on what critters and the potential for them being far and them coming close the question then arises as to which lens type for each body.
My current feeling is the longest lens and with a TC on the FF body, the shorter longer lens on the crop. Easily reversed if need be, example of a place where I'd reverse that is Conowingo Dam where the Eagles congregate...there I'd put the 100-400ii on the 1DXii and on the 7Dii the 500 with 1.4 TC. Why? Because the Eagles can be 1/4 mile away and moments later 20 feet away.
I think I'd probably do same on safari.
Thoughts?

General question...

I am really enjoying my 7DII and enjoy using it more than the 5DII I have.

I have a question that is difficult to put into words.

The images I am getting are not that far removed from my full frame. There's a different quality I get from the 5DII but it is hard to quantify in words. It's more a vibe thing.

My question is, why is this? Is it that the latest sensor has improved? I had a 600D and the 5DII seemed like a quantum leap when I changed,

Shouldn't the full frame images be considerably better??

Just trying to understand.

Thanks
